Audiences loved Opera Wilmington’s production of Die Fledermaus in July 2018. Here are a few scenes from this comic masterpiece, composed by Johann Strauss, Jr., known as the “Waltz King.”

At Opera Camp this past June, youngsters helped Opera Wilmington set designer Max Lydy and his crew build an enormous chandelier using . . .what else?  . . . plastic utensils and light bulbs!

Campers also worked on the costumes for their public performances, which included two appearances in Act II of Die Fledermaus.

Opera Wilmington loves dogs! Here’s an example of how we (safely) incorporated our canine friends into the fun of Die Fledermaus: we held a “Dress Your Dog Like a Bat” contest. And here are our winners.
